Math work for you in Module 5
Module 5 includes shapes, fractions and telling time. We have practiced telling time and made clocks so that should be room 5 review.
There is a Module 5 workbook and a Fluency book. Students call the Fluency book sprints because they are quick practice. The workbook lessons go in order but the order of the sprints are not important.
BrainPop Jr. has great reviews of both fractions and time. The username is jackson7 and the password is cougars. When you click the link it will open to the video.

Lesson 5
Do a sprint and your workbook. Have fun with the tangrams and see what you can make.
Skip lesson 6 and do your yellow homework instead.
Lesson 7
Do a sprint and your workbook
Lesson 8
Do a sprint and workbook
Do your fraction pizzas. Fractions are used in cooking recipes to measure ingredients. If there is a recipe in your home, look at it for fractions. If you can, help someone cook. Do your extra fraction pages.
Lesson 9
Do a sprint and workbook
Lesson 10
Do a sprint and workbook
Keep working on your fractions even after you have finished the lessons. Fractions are used for lots of things and they are everywhere. If you are going to share a cookie remember to break it into equal parts (or take the little piece.)
Time
The next lessons use the clock. If you have your practice clock, have someone change the hands and ask you what time it is. You are experts at telling time. Every chance you get practice telling time. You can count by fives so you can use the clock. Remember that you always look at the hour hand first (short hand) then the minute hand. Clocks also use fractions. 7:30 is half past 7.

Lesson 13

Time flies by when you can use a clock!
